Invisalign is the original and first clear aligner technology to align and straighten teeth with a series of customized plastic braces that fit over the upper and lower teeth. It moves teeth by moulding and pushing them to the desired position. How does Invisalign work?
Based on the orthodontic treatment plan recommended to you after consultation, a set of aligners are created with Invisalign’s industry-leading technology.
Each aligner is made slightly different in shape to fit, push or pull the teeth towards the desired position over time.
As you replace each aligner after short period of wear, your teeth will be moved little by little, week by week to the final desired position prescribed by our Invisalign Service Providers who are trained in invisible aligners as well as all types of teeth straightening appliances. What Are the Advantages of Invisalign?
Invisalign braces are removable, minimizing interruptions to your daily activities and diet. Since they can be removed, it is easier to maintain healthy teeth and gum throughout your Invisalign journey with usual brushing and flossing. Without the protruding brackets of conventional metal braces, Invisalign reduces irritations to the lips and cheek.

How long does Invisalign Treatment takes?
The length of treatment depends on the severity and complexity of your case and on average ranges from 12-36 months.
Is Invisalign Treatment Painful?
There will be some discomfort as the teeth move under the pressure of the aligners. The teeth may feel weak or ache when new aligners are worn, so a soft diet is recommended immediately for a few days.
It will be more comfortable compared to conventional braces and it does not have any protruding parts that may irritate the lips and cheeks.
How Long will the Completed Straight Teeth Last?
Retention of the completed result is the second active phase of all braces treatment whether is it done by conventional braces or Invisalign.
The straight teeth will last as long as Invisalign patients follow the dentist’s instructions on the wearing of retainers. Teeth in the newly finalised position will move back to its original position after treatment ended if you do not wear your retainer as prescribed.
It is also important to continue to visit us for your bi-annual routine check-ups together with your retainers. This will allow us to identify any relapse or breakage to your retainers early.
What is the difference between Invisalign and traditional braces?
Invisalign aligners are removable by the patient, comfortable to use and almost invisible when worn. Traditional braces are basically metal brackets that are bonded to your teeth and flexible wires are fitted onto the brackets.
Will Invisalign treatment affect my speech?
At first wearing the new trays there may be a small amount of discomfort that could cause you to possibly slur or stumble on a few words, but that will not last long at all or have any real effect on your speech. Overall, Invisalign will not affect your speech.
How often do I need to visit the clinic during my Invisalign treatment?
Our dentist will need to see you every 4 to 8 weeks to constantly review your case and to monitor the progress of tooth movement. New set of aligners will also be issued to you during suitable timing according to the progress of the treatment.
How long should I wear my aligners each day?
You are required to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours every day. The only time you remove the aligners are when you brushes your teeth and during meal times.
What types of food and drinks should I avoid during my Invisalign treatment?
As your aligners are removable during eating, you can practically consume any food without restriction. However, drinks like coffee, tea and wine might stain your aligners.
How should I clean my teeth and aligners?
As your aligners are removable, you can remove them and carry out your regular brushing and flossing. Toothbrush and toothpaste should be used to clean your aligners as well.
