Why do we need to floss?

You might think that flossing your teeth is a redundant act, a waste of time and money. However, those few minutes spent flossing your teeth daily might save you from future troubles.
Prevention is always better than cure

Here are some of the dental issues that you might be able to avoid simply by flossing daily.

1

Bad Breath

When you eat, there will be remnants of food particles stuck between your teeth. Without flossing, the food will remain there for too long. This promotes bacterial growth which can cause bad breath. Avoid feeling embarrassed by bad breath and start flossing today!
2

Cavities or Tooth Decay

You are allowing plaques to build up in your mouth by not flossing daily. If left for too long, they will eventually begin to break down the tooth's surface, leading to cavities, also known as tooth decay.
Plaque can be hidden in places between you tooths and under your gums where your toothbrushes cannot reach. Do not assume that brushing of teeth alone is enough to keep these nasty plaques away. All these can eventually lead to serious gum diseases which could have been avoided.

In addition to brushing, floss your teeth daily and visit a dentist every 6 months for a dental checkup. If you are already experiencing bad breath or tooth decay, make your dental appointment now and avoid letting it grow into a bigger dental problem.
